Run the Bluegrass and a race for Brynlee

Fresh off my absolutely lovely kidney stone and lithotripsy, I decided to split a half marathon with really good friend and runner Ashlee in the first part of March. It was so fun and sad at the same time. I couldn't believe it would be my last race in good old KY.

The day turned out to be quiet chilly and kind of misty. Prefect for running, not so perfect for my kids who where not dressed for the weather. I ran the last leg of the race which was on the back roads around Keenland. It was hilly and hard but it felt so good to run after not being able to work out during my kidney crap. I was pretty proud of myself for catching up to Mindy who was training for a full marathon at the time.

Brynlee got to run a little 1 Mile fun run with Ashlee and Angela's kids. It was so fun to see her running! Bryce ran with her and said she ran the whole thing and sang the entire time, "Follow the path." to the tune of Follow the Prophet. We pretty much love her to pieces! For completing the course, Brynlee got here very own miniature trophy horse. She was in heaven and for the next several weeks would show it to anyone who came in our house. Poor Logo boy, just got to freeze in the stroller the whole morning.
