We have been hearing tales of ice storms for months and to tell you the truth I had no idea what we were getting ourselves into until Tuesday morning! The news warned us but we weren't to concerned seeings how every other time there is a winter weather watch it turns out to be 1/4'' of snow. We woke up to a little snow, great! but then the freezing rain came! By 1pm everything was covered in a solid inch of ice! It is really beautiful! But really cold and deadly slick.

Just some of the damage in the neighborhood. Once is stoped raining ice then it snowed and the wind picked up. Lots of trees lost big limbs or just split down the middle.

Good ol' Kentucky ice storms--they are beautiful but make things a bit crazy there! Hope you thaw out soon!
