For ten weeks 5 ladies and myself have been training four times a week after our kids are sweetly tucked into bed and early Saturday mornings when are husbands are to delirious to say no when we ask them to take care of the kids.
We started out running 2 miles/5 miles/6 miles the first week and 10 weeks later we were running 13.1 miles!
The race was very small, as was the town we ran in. There were only 130 runners. The weather was chilly! When we started the race it was 48 degrees and very windy. The clouds were looming but the rain held off, thankfully.
I was very pleased with my run! And very proud of all the ladies for running great times and placing in their age groups!

Awesome job! I am way proud of you, under two hours even. Pretty darn good girl! My friend who does these all the time ran a 1:49 so way to go. At my best I probably only ran five miles. I can not imaging 13!
You are so awesome! That's amazing, to be able to run over 13 miles!
You did awesome! Good job. Glad you lived to tell about it :) Will you be running more now? Or was one enough?
You are a warrior! It has been so fun to run with you. You made us all step up our game even more!! Thanks. Looking forward to the next one!!
Congrats, I am so amazed you ran it. I would die, seriously I don't know how you did it!
AWESOME! You're my hero!
Maybe on the next one I'll be able to keep up with you. Oh wait, then you'll be faster too. Darn!
Talk about motivation! Good job!
Impressive! Glad to be done but am totally having running group withdrawals:)
You are an inspiration to me Lora!! I just wish I had a fun friend like you to run with. Way to go--seriously awesome.
I can hardly run a mile. Way to go - your sweet little one is so cute! Can't believe they are 9 months!
